Carolina Foothills Garden Club is proud to partner with Furman University in promoting the study of botany and ecology. Since 1972, the Carolina Foothills Garden Club has provided generous scholarships to Furman University biology department students that are committed to these disciplines. These annual awards have been tied to scholarly and service projects that have a lasting impact. Such projects include a herbarium hosting 20,000 plant specimens and certification of the Furman campus as an arboretum.
