Horticulture
The Horticulture Committee seeks to nurture the knowledge and love of gardening, to promote useful and valuable plants and to conserve those at risk and to educate the community in responsible ways to plant, propagate and grow.
Purpose:
- To stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening by sponsoring lectures, demonstrations, meetings, projects and disseminating horticultural information from the GCA Horticulture Committee to members and the public.
- To coordinate the club Horticulture Show.
- To manage the Plant Exchange held at annual zone meetings. The purpose is to encourage GCA members to learn to perfect basic skills in plant propagation so that horticultural knowledge will be broadened while helping to preserve and to perpetuate good plant material
